NEWTON, Kan. (AP) Authorities have again delayed the first-degree murder trial of a Kansas man accused of killing a 19-month-old boy.
Twenty-seven-year-old Chad Carr, of North Newton, had been scheduled to go on trial Monday in Harvey County in the March 2010 death of Vincent Hill, his girlfriend’s son.
The Harvey County Attorney’s Office gave no reason for the delay and said a new trial date hasn’t been set.
Authorities say the boy suffered blunt-force wounds and a brain injury, most likely caused by suffocation.
The Wichita Eagle reported that two previous trial dates, in January and March, also were continued.
