They each took their turns bearing the load offensively this season, and the K-State sophomore tandem of Kaitlynn Pelger and Lilla Porubek was rewarded with all-Big 12 honors. Pelger led the Big 12 for most of the season in kills per set, before an ankle injury helped drop her numbers to 3rd in the league. She was named first team all-Big 12. Porubek stepped up during Pelger’s injury and helped K-State to wins in four of its last six matches. She was named honorable mention all-Big 12 and averaged 3.39 kills per set. Notably absent from the all-Big 12 squads was the Cats’ junior setter Caitlyn Donahue, who was second in the Big 12 in assists.
