The Kansas State Women’s Basketball team won its third consecutive game as they used a smothering defense and timely shooting to down South Dakota State 63-46 Saturday evening in Brookings, S.D.

K-State tied a school record by allowing the Jackrabbits to make only two first half field goals as the Wildcats raced to a 31-14 lead at intermission.

Brittany Chambers, playing close to her Minnesota home and with many family members in the stands led three Wildcats in double figures with a game-high 18 points.  Branshea Brown added 13 points and Mariah White chipped in with 10 points.

With the win, K-State improves to 6-2 on the young season and will next be in action at the BTI Invitational in Las Vegas, NV starting on December 18 when they face North Dakota State followed by a game December 19 against Northwestern before taking on host UNLV the next night.
