With the New Year right around the corner, the Riley County Commission has many items to reflect upon over the past year.
This past summer, the City of Manhattan voted to dissolve the longstanding inter-local agreement making the health department a county-only operation.
The Riley County police department has implemented the consolidated dispatch system, which is to be a more efficient system.
Also, becoming “green” has been a buzz word throughout the entire nation and here in Riley County. “Resourceful Kansas’ ” received a $3 million grant to make upgrades.
