The mode of death in Friday afternoon’s case of Kawon Higgins, 26, and Amanda Bonner, 23, of Manhattan is still not being released, although Riley County Police indicate that particular information might be provided after a final autopsy report.
The two were found at Bonner’s residence, at 715 Yuma Street, at about 2:30 Friday afternoon, and preliminary results indicate the incident appears to be a homicide/suicide, with Higgins being the aggressor.
Riley county police also announced Wednesday the children of the couple who were not present at the time of the deaths, were taken into protective custody and have temporarily been placed with family, pending a hearing.
