    Friday deaths ruled murder/suicide

Riley County Police are now saying a Friday case in which two bodies were found was an apparent murder/suicide.

Officers were called to 715 Yuma street after a concerned citizen notified them of finding two deceased individuals.

Police arrived to find Kawon Higgins,26,  and 23 year old Amanda Bonner’s bodies at the scene.

According to RCPD reports released Tuesday morning an autopsy has been completed, and the results indicate that the incident appears to be a murder/suicide with Higgins as the aggressor.  Higgins and Bonner had children together and the deaths appear to be related to an ongoing domestic situation.

Previously Bonner had filed a protection order against Higgins, but later dropped it.

RCPD officials say the investigation is ongoing, and no more information is being released at this time.
