K-State ends Stillwater hex with 66-58 win over Oklahoma State

Rodney McGruder and Angel Rodriguez each scored 14 points and Jamar Samuels added 12 points as Kansas State withstood a second half rally to defeat Oklahoma State 66-58 Saturday afternoon at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

After leading 31-24 at halftime, the Wildcats pushed the lead to as much as 12 points midway through the second half before Oklahoma State cut the lead to 59-56 with four minutes remaining.  However, clutch free throw shooting, which was missing during Wednesday night’s squeaker over Texas allowed K-State to snap an 11-game losing streak in Stillwater.  K-State had not won at Gallagher-Iba Arena since January of 1993 when Dana Altman was the Wildcats head coach.

K-State (14-4, 3-3) hits the road again on Wednesday as they travel down to Lubbock for a meeting with Texas Tech.
