The Kansas State Wildcats fell into an early 7-0 hole and never could climb all the way back out as Oklahoma got its first Big 12 win with an 82-73 victory Saturday afternoon at the Lloyd Noble Center.

K-State, which trailed 38-29 at halftime fell behind by as many as 14 points in the second half but clawed back to within six points at 79-73 with less than a minute to go.  However with all of their timeouts spent, the Wildcats were forced to foul OU and the Sooners made three free throws down the stretch to seal the win.

For the second straight game, Rodney McGruder was the leading scorer for K-State leading four Wildcats in double figures with 19 points.  Nino Williams and Jeremy Jones had 12 points apiece and Will Spradling chipped in with 11.  Andrew Fitzgerald led Oklahoma with a game-high 21 points.

K-State (12-4, 1-3) returns to Bramlage Coliseum on Wednesday to host Texas in an 8 p.m. tipoff.
