Brittany Chambers scored 23 points and grabbed 8 rebounds as the K-State women won at Kansas 63-57 on Saturday night. Jalana Childs scored 11 of her 15 points in the second half, and Branshea Brown added 12 points.
The Cats trailed the Jayhawks at halftime, but seized the lead with an 8-0 run to begin the second half. KU would tie the game at 47 with just over five minutes to go, but plays made by Chambers and Brown allowed K-State to pull away down the stretch.
The K-State women (11-3, 2-0) are tied for first place in the Big 12, and will host Missouri on Wednesday night at 7:00pm at Bramlage Coliseum. The K-State Sports Network will have a 6:30pm pregame show on KMAN.
