A 37-year-old Westmoreland man was arrested Thursday after allegedly driving a pickup truck into another vehicle in Manhattan.

According to the RCPD, officers filed a report for aggravated battery and criminal damage to property just before 3 p.m. near the intersection of Leavenworth Street and Tuttle Creek Boulevard.

Police said Dexter Earl Johnson, 37, of Westmoreland, allegedly drove a 1996 Chevy 3500 truck into a 2025 Hyundai Elantra occupied by two men, ages 50 and 24.

Johnson was arrested just before 5 p.m. near mile marker 311 on I-70 on allegations of aggravated battery, criminal damage to property and driving without a license.

Johnson was issued a total bond of $25,000 and remained confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of the report.
