Saturday night at the Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas the Kansas State Women’s Basketball team got a reminder of why Brittney Griner is one of the best players in the country and why Baylor is one of the best teams.

Griner erputed for 22 points as the #1 ranked Lady Bears jumped out to a 43-22 halftime lead and never looked back as they cruised past K-State 76-41.  Leading the way for the Wildcats were Brittany Chambers with 16 points and Tasha Dickey with 10.

K-State (13-5, 4-2) has now dropped two consecutive games after opening league play with a 4-0 record.  It is K-State’s second two-game losing skid of the season.  The Wildcats return home to take on the always tough Iowa State Cyclones on Wednesday at Bramlage Coliseum.  Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
