The city of Junction City has rescinded the boil water advisory for water customers on the west side of Spring Valley Road, north of Wildcat Lane and South of Buddy Drive in Olivia Farms development. The city rescinded the advisory because laboratory testing and evaluation of other factors and conditions indicated that the water is safe for drinking and other uses.
The city issued the advisory Monday because of the possibility of contamination of the system due to a break in a water main, which resulted in a loss of pressure in the distribution system for customers in the designated area.
