The Riley County Police Department foiled an escape plot from Riley County Jail.
Police say a confidential informant notified the department of a plot on Thursday. The call prompted security checks that allegedly uncovered more evidence of the plan, which reportedly included a concealed weapon and multiple people.
No arrests have been made at this time, and the case has been forwarded to the Riley County District Attorney’s office to ascertain what charges if any are brought forward from the incident.
