It’s been a season to remember for the Manhattan High girls basketball team. The Indians won their second Centennial League championships in three years, this time with a undefeated record of 13-0. MHS broke through their biggest barrier with a 43-39 victory last Friday over Washburn Rural in the substate finals to reach the state tournament for the first time since 1991. The fourth seeded Tribe will face #5 seed Olathe South in the 6A state tournament quarterfinals on Wednesday night. The Falcons will be making their eighth straight appearance at state.
