It’s a complicated forumula, but property valuation notices are on the way or may have already arrived for Pottawatomie county property owners. County Appraiser Lois Schlegel says the 2012 notices went out Wednesday.
“Things are pretty stable within our county,” Schlegel tells KMAN News. “Our valuation shows no indication of an upward or downward trend in the market.”
Of all valid residential sales in the county, 86 percent were along U.S. Hwy 24 from St. Mary’s to Manhattan, with 78 percent of those sales from Wamego to Manhattan. Schlegel reminds residents they have 30 days to appeal their property valuation
