    St. George fire investigation continues

    The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office continues the investigation of a structure fire at 520 Jefferson street in St. George a couple of months ago.

    The fire was reported to the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office just after midnight on Jan. 14. The home was occupied at the time by the residents, though no injuries from the fire were reported and all occupants were able to escape the residence . The home and its contents were a total loss.

    The State Fire Marshalls Office has recently determined the fire to be intentionally set . Anyone with information on this incident is urged to contact the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office. Callers may remain anonymous. The number to call is 457-3353 .
