The K-State offense broke out of their slump with a couple of double digit efforts against Baylor this weekend, but the Bears stayed a step ahead of the Cats in a three game sweep. K-State jumped out to a 10-4 lead on Saturday, but Baylor pulled within two runs when the game was suspended. The Bears won 14-12 when it was resumed Sunday, and also outscored the Cats 12-11 in 11 innings in the regularly scheduled game.
K-State drops to 17-18 overall and 3-9 in the Big 12, while Baylor improves to a now Big 12 record 15-0 in the league and 30-7 overall. The Cats will host Northern Colorado for a two-game mid-week series. First pitch is at 6:30pm on Tuesday night at Tointon Family Stadium, and coverage begins at 6:00 on SportsRadio 1350 KMAN with the BD4 Distrubting Pregame Show.
