The number 13 is considered unlucky, and definitely was for K-State on Wednesday night at Missouri State in a 3-0 loss. The Cats had 8 hits, but stranded 13 runners on base, and struck out the same number of times. The bright spot for K-State offensively was Jared King with a 3 for 4 night. The Bears meanwhile, managed just two hits, but scored three unearned runs thanks to a pair of costly errors.
K-State drops to 17-15 overall with the loss, while Missouri State improves to 25-10. The Cats will welcome in #5 Baylor this weekend, who’s 12-0 atop the Big 12. First pitch on Friday night is at 6:30pm, with pregame coverage at 6:00 on KMAN from the K-State Sports Network. Don’t forget about the Brad Hill Show on Thursday night at 6:00 on KMAN live from Kite’s in Aggieville.
