Massanet & Thomson to play in KBCA all-star game

A pair of area athletes who led their teams to conference titles will take the floor in the Kansas Basketball Coaches’ Association all-star games this summer.  Manhattan High swept thru the Centennial League with an undefeated 13-0 mark, and MJ Massanet was the Tribe’s leading scorer and rebounder.  She’ll play for the white squad in the KBCA all-star game.  Future K-State Wildcat Kelly Thomson of Riley County will play for the blue squad after a stellar high school career.  Thomson led the Falcons to back-to-back Mid-East League titles, and three state tournament berths over four years.

The KBCA all-star games are Thursday, August 2nd at Lee Arena on the campus of Washburn University in Topeka.  The girls game will be at 6:00pm and will be followed by the boys tilt.
