FORT RILEY, Kan. – Soldiers from 4th Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, received Quilts of Valor from the Kansas chapter of the volunteer group Wednesday, April 11. Every Soldier who deployed to Afghanistan with 4th Squadron, 4th Cavalry received a handmade quilt from the volunteer group.
The “Pale Riders” participated in Operation Enduring Freedom 11-12 in support of both Combined Task Force Strike and Combined Task Force Spartan, partnered with the 2nd Kandak, 3rd Brigade, 205th Corps from the Afghan National Army.
