More than 5 million people learn how to save lives in American Red Cross training courses every year.
The Red Cross in Manhattan is currently gearing up for their CPR/AED training for professional rescuers and health care providers. This course is set to take place on Wednesday, June 6th from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
First Aid and CPR skills are extremely important and come in handy during emergency situations. Learning how to control bleeding, save a choking person, and learning how to care for seizures are some of the skills people learn during American Red Cross training courses.
Although this particular course is for professionals, Red Cross Communications Director, Meghan Spreer, says there will most likely be other courses offered for non-professionals towards the end of the summer.
