The Flint Hills Discovery Center celebrated their 10,000th visitor on Mother’s Day. 5 year old AJ Mumford crossed the threshold in the afternoon to receive a surprise of balloons and a big celebration.
City Manager, Ron Fehr, mentions the winner received a gift basket from the gift shop, tickets to the Symphony in the Flint Hills and a gift certificate to Old Chicago.
The fact that the center reached the 10,000th customer mark in only a months time proves how successful the facility has been thus far.
