On August 4th 1977, the Riley County Police Deapartment was called to North Crest Trailer Park (Hunter’s Island), where the body of Warren “Tiger” Lewis was discovered.

A person of interest has recently been developed after speaking with a witness from that period.

The Riley County Police would like to speak to the ex-wife of Dewayne Murrell, also known as “Cornbocker”. Her first name might be Wynonna, and she is believed to reside in New York. She may also have an uncle that goes by the name of Dennis White who possibly passed away several months ago. It is also believed that Dewayne Murrell passed away in the 1980’s.

Anyone with any information regarding this case is asked to contact the Riley County Police or Det. Runyan at 785-537-2112, extension 2465.

Anonymous tips can be left with the Manhattan/Riley County Crime stoppers at (785) 539-7777 or Toll free at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Or you can visit their website for other options:
