Rock Creek came within an eyelash of winning the 3A state softball tournament over the weekend, bowing out in a 13-inning title game loss to Hillsboro.  Six Mustangs earned all-Mid-East League honors, including a trio on the first team, Bailey Elliott, Katie Hodges and Megan Srna.  Plus, Caitline’ Christenson, Kelsey Quinn, and Jessi Snapp made the second team.

Riley County also had two all-Mid East League selections, Rachel Rheaume  on the first team and Heidi Prockish on the second team.
