After coaching a national championship team, former K-State standout Claire Coggins has decided to return home.  Wildcat women’s basketball coach Deb Patterson has hired Coggins as the program’s director of video operations.  The two-time second team all-Big 12 guard scored 1,236 points, 19th on the all-time K-State list, and is 22nd in assists with 213.  Coggins was a member of the 2004 Big 12 championship team and the 2006 WNIT MVP.

The Independence, Missouri native played two professional seasons; with the WNBA’s Chicago Sky in 2007 and one year later in Greece.  Coggins coached as an assistant for two years at Connors State, a JuCo in Oklahoma, and led the Cowgirls to a conference title in 2011.  Last season, she joined the staff at Oklahoma City University, which went 35-1 and won the NAIA Division I national championship.
