A St. Mary’s man faces several drug-related charges following his arrest in Pottawatomie county last week.
A news release from Pottawatomie County Sheriff Greg Riat indicates a deputy made a traffic stop on a White Cadillac in the 500 block of Lincoln, in Wamego at approximately 3:45 p.m Thursday afternoon. The driver of the vehicle, Samuel Greidanus, 47, was initially taken into custody for driving while suspended.
A Shawnee County Deputy and Drug dog were requested to respond to the scene by Deputies. The dog alerted when going around the vehicle. A search warrant was obtained by Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office.
As a result of the search warrant a quantity of methamphetamine was seized from the vehicle and taken as evidence. Greidanus was booked into the Pottawatomie County Jail for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia,, and driving while suspended.
Greidanus has since bonded out on a $21,000 bond.
