KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) Emanuel Herrera scored twice in the second half to lead defending French champion Montpellier to a 3-0 victory over Sporting Kansas City in an exhibition match on Tuesday night. Gaetan Charbonnier also scored for Montpellier, which held Sporting without a shot on goal and snapped the home side’s three-match unbeaten streak in international exhibitions. Herrera, who moved to Montpellier in the offseason after scoring 38 goals over his last two seasons in Chile, scored in the 72nd minute off an assist from Anthony Mounier to put Montpellier up 2-0. He added another goal in stoppage time, tracking down goalkeeper Eric Kronberg’s deflection of Remy Cabella’s shot and putting it back into the net. Charbonnier scored in the 39th minute to put Montpellier up 1-0, heading home a high pass from Marco Estrada.
