A trio of K-State football players have been nominated for the Walter Camp player of the year in college football. Sophomore Tyler Lockett was a Walter Camp first team all-American at kick returner last season, and senior defensive back Nigel Malone made the second team. Both Lockett and Malone are on the watch list along with Wildcat senior linebacker Arthur Brown.
Fifty players from across the country have been put on the Walter Camp watch list for the award given to the nation’s most outstanding player. The Cats are one of three teams with three candidates. The others are Oklahoma and USC.
