It’s time for the annual Rodeo Reading Round-Up! The event will be  Thursday, July 26, at 10:00, featuring cowboy and cowgirl stories, and Miss Rodeo K-State, Abbey Pomeroy. Her tiara is a cowboy hat!  Two rodeo clowns are featured, Andy North and Greek Elleck, and they’ll give a demonstration and read a story. Local cowboy poet Ron Wilson will also be there , and  afterwards autographs are available from all the rodeo celebrities.  Each child who attends will receive a free ticket to the Kaw Valley Rodeo!

The Rodeo Reading Round-Up has become a popular tradition, thanks to the Kaw Valley Rodeo’s sponsorship and dedication to children’s education.  The event is co-sponsored by the Manhattan Public Library, 629 Poyntz Ave., 785-776-4741 www.manhattan.lib.ks.us
