    Early morning drug bust in Manhattan

    Members of the Riley County Police Department executed a search warrant at 514 Kearney Street Apartment A in Manhattan in reference to the distribution of marijuana.

    Marijuana, drug paraphernalia, U.S. currency, and a firearm were seized during the search warrant.

    19 year old Benson Jackson of  the 500 block of Kearney was arrested for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute within 1000 feet of a school, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful acquisition of drug proceeds, no Kansas Drug Tax Stamp, and criminal use of a weapon. He was held at the Riley County Jail in lieu of a $9,000.00 bond set by Captain Jeff Hooper.

    This investigation is on-going.
