K-State’s Erik Kynard could end the day with a gold medal around his neck as he competes in the men’s high jump finals at the London Olympics. Kynard will be among 14 competitors after tying for third in the prelims with a leap just over seven feet, six inches. The Olympic high jump finals are Tuesday afternoon at 1:00pm central time, and you can see live video at NBCOlympics.com.
Recent K-State grad Jeffery Julmis represented his native country of Haiti in the men’s 110 meter hurdle prelims. Julmis though did not qualify for the semifinals as he finished with a time of 13.87 seconds.
