    Arrests made in stolen pickup truck case

    Riley County Police report between 1:34 pm and 5:58 pm Wednesday, a pickup truck was stolen from the Wal-Mart parking lot.

    William Kidney, 26, of Manhattan, reported his 1991 Ford Wrangler was taken.

    Officers reportedly checked the security footages and obtained a few leads.

    Following a traffic stop at about 6:30 pm in the 100 block of south 14th street,  Jessica Cook, 25 and  George Gibson III, 34, both of Topeka, were arrested in connection with the case.

    The two were taken to the Pottawatomioe County jail with bond set at $5,000 apiece.

    A man’s failure to appear before a judge has led to an arrest.

    Kenith Robinson,  25, of  Manhattan has two counts of probation violation and two counts of failure to appear.

    Total bond is set at $5,750.
