The schedule for the opening two rounds of the preseason NIT has been released by the NIT selection committee. K-State is the #3 seed in the 16-team field, and will open with Lamar on Monday, November 12th at 7:00pm at Bramlage Coliseum. The Cardinals are coached by former Texas Tech head man Pat Knight. The other 1st round game will be North Texas and division II Alabama-Huntsville at 9:30 in Manhattan.  The winners will then meet on Tuesday, November 13th in the 2nd round at 9:00pm at Bramlage, and will be televised nationally by ESPN2.  That game will have a berth in the Preseason NIT semifinals and a trip to New York City at stake. Michigan holds the top seed, Virginia is #2, and Pittsburgh is seeded 4th.
