A new federal grant for the airport, and the upcoming metropolitan planning organization will be on the plate for Tuesday night’s Manhattan city Commission meeting.
Manhattan Commissioners will be looking at funding and contracts for improving the Manhattan airport apron, and part of that process will include accepting a grant from the FAA for $1, 890, 734.00. Commissioners are also looking deeper into the MPO process as they consider staff suggestions for two maps. One which includes Fort Riley, and a smaller version which encloses the area immediately around the city of Manhattan.
The Manhattan commission work session will be on Tuesday at 5pm at City hall.
