    NOON UPDATE:

An Ogden woman was injured in a two vehicle accident near the Manhattan Regional airport, KMAN news first told you about shortly after eight Wednesday morning .

Terri Jo Quick, 59, was treated and released at Mercy Regional Health Center, following the accident, reported a minute before eight a.m.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports Quick was a passenger in a 2005 GMC school bus driven by Misty Gandara, 50, of Manhattan, who was not injured.

The bus and a 2006 Mazda driven by a Shawnee woman were westbound on K-18 in the construction zone in front of the airport, when the bus slowed down due to an object in the roadway. The other vehicle was unable to slow in time and rearended the bus.

Riley County Police Lt. Josh Kyle reports a second accident was worked at 8:13 in the morning near that same location, but he describes it as very minor with no report filed.

UPDATE AS OF 8:44 A.M.: Westbound lanes now open, eastbound lanes still backed up

A traffic advisory from the Riley County Police Department involving the 5500 block of Fort Riley  Boulevard near the Manhattan Regional Airport.

RCPD Lt. Josh Kyle tells KMAN the accident is blocking traffic in eastbound lanes, with westbound lanes also backed up. While westbound is not technically blocked, traffic is moving very slowly.

Kyle advises motorists to take 1-77 south to I-70, and use the 313 exit.

Injuries appear to be involved, with the accident reported shortly after eight Wednesday morning.

KMAN will provide further details as they become available.
