EL DORADO, Kan. (AP) The Butler County Sheriff’s Office says two men were killed in separate traffic accidents within hours of each other.

The first accident occurred Thursday night south of Augusta on Highway 77. Sheriff Lt. Mike Holton says a passerby found a man dead outside a vehicle that had gone into a ditch. KFDI reports the man’s two young daughters were taken to a Wichita hospital. The family is from Douglas.

The second accident was discovered about 1:30 Friday morning. A passerby found a wrecked car on Kansas 254 just east of Benton. The driver, a man believed to be 18 years old, had been thrown from the vehicle and was dead at the scene.

Names are being withheld until relatives can be notified.
