K-State and KU to clash this Saturday

The two in-state programs couldn’t be in any more different place than they are right now heading into this weekend’s Sunflower Showdown at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.  Undefeated K-State is ranked #7 in the country, coming off a big win over then #6 Oklahoma 10 days ago.  Meanwhile, lowly KU is just 1-3 with losses to Rice and Northern Illinois.  But, the two teams will hit field this Saturday on the same 100 yard field for 60 minutes.  Coach Snyder says the guys should be pumped up for this Saturday because of the rivalry.

After a victory at then #6 Oklahoma, which was just the second for Coach Bill Snyder over Bob Stoops, K-State grinded things to halt with a bye week.  Snyder says the players did a decent job of handling the open date, but it remains to be seen if the bye came at a good time.

K-State will clash with rival KU in the Sunflower Showdown this Saturday morning at 11:00am. Powercat Gameday begins from Bill Snyder Family Stadium at 7:00am on SportsRadio 1350 with Matt Walters, John Kurtz, Corey Dean and Kevin Lockett.
