    K-State survives a 5-set win over Texas Tech

    Despite dominating Texas Tech in the first two sets, the K-State volleyball team was pushed to the limit before escaping in the fifth set with a victory on Saturday afternoon at Ahearn Fieldhouse, 25-13, 25-14, 20-25, 23-25, 15-9.  Kaitlynn Pelger led the Wildcats with 18 kills and 18 digs, while Alex Muff had a career high 17 kills and hit .593.  Muff also topped K-State (18-3, 5-3 Big 12) in blocks with seven.  Caitlyn Donahue led the Cats to a .318 hitting efficiency and had 58 assists.  Texas Tech (12-12, 1-7 Big 12) was led by a career effort from freshman Meghan Stacy with 19 kills.

    K-State will make their first trip to West Virginia with a first serve of 5:30pm central on Wednesday night.  The Standard Plumbing, Heating & Air pregame show will begin at 5:00 with Rob Voelker from Morgantown on SportsRadio 1350 KMAN.
