The Riley County Police department reported that a man was mandated to have a 48 hour stay in jail over this past weekend
David Ray Lewis, 43, was charged with criminal trespassing that led to the mandate to be held without bond for 48 hours by the courts.
Lewis was also charged with violating a protection order and possession of drugs.

Two different reports came in to the Riley County Police Department due to criminal damage to property over the weekend.
Kara Beckwith, 20, of Manhattan, reported that her black 2010 Chevy Malibu was damaged when someone used a blunt object to smash in the rear window and roof while it was parked at the apartment complex where she resides.
The total damage was $1200.
Richard Jones, 38, of Manhattan, also reported that between August 22nd and August 23rd his 2007 Chevy Silverado was damaged.
Jones reported that at the time a person known to him had borrowed his vehicle when the damage occurred.
The total loss was $2500.

The Riley County Police Department reported an unknown suspect or suspects entered a residence in the 400 block of N 11th street last Friday through an unlocked sliding door, while the occupants were asleep.
Michael Fox, 20, of Manhattan, reported his wallet and other miscellaneous items were taken.
Jared King, 20, of Manhattan, reported his wallet and iPhone 4 were taken.
Joshua King, 20, of Manhattan, reported his wallet and his backpack with a number of other items were taken including an iPad 2 , X box, X box games, laptop computer.
Ethan Chadick, 21, of Manhattan, reported that his wallet, laptop, iPhone 4 and backpack were all taken.
The total amount lost among the individuals totaled about $4900.

Some tenants took something that wasn’t their’s as the Riley County Police Department had a report from a landlord that items were taken from a rental.
Veronica Pierce, 32, of New Mexico, reported that a rental unit here in Manhattan that she owns had the washer and dryer taken when the individuals renting left the location.
The total loss was about $1000.
