SALINA, Kan. (AP) A new arena football team is coming to Salina and local folks are being asked to give it a name. Salina officials announced Thursday the new team will play six weekend home games at the city’s Bicentennial Center, starting in March. KWCH-TV reports the team will compete in the new Champions Professional Indoor Football League, which also includes the Wichita Wild. The Bicentennial Center is holding an online team-naming contest that will run through next Thursday. Three finalists will be selected, with the winner to be announced Nov. 1. Those with name suggestions can submit them on the Bicentennial Center’s website.
