In a very physical game, the second-ranked Kansas State Wildcats forced five turnovers on Defense and were efficient enough on Offense to defeat 24th-ranked Oklahoma State 44-30 before a sellout crowd of 50, 781 on Ft. Riley Day at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

Running Back John Hubert rushed for 38 yards on nine carries and scored two touchdowns and Tyler Lockett returned a kickoff 100 yards for a score during a wild second quarter.  However, it was K-State’s Defense that carried the day, forcing five turnovers by the Cowboys including three interceptions by Allen Chapman including a 29-yard return for a touchdown. Most Free K-State Video!

K-State Quarterback Collin Klein had another solid performance going 16 of 22 for 245 yards and rushing for 74 yards on nine carries and his 50th career rushing touchdown in the third quarter.   After that series Klein left the game with an undisclosed injury and was replaced by Freshman Quarterback Daniel Sams who was five of six passing for 45 yards.

K-State (9-0, 6-0) is now 9-0 for the third time in school history and for the first time since 1999.  The Wildcats are also 6-0 this season at Bill Snyder Family Stadium and have won eight in a row at home overall, marking the longest home winning streak since a run that spanned the 2001 and 2002 seasons.

The Wildcats will find out if they remain #2 in the Bowl Championship Series Standings when the new list is released Sunday evening.  K-State will travel to Ft. Worth, Texas next Saturday to face TCU which was a 39-38 overtime winner against West Virginia on Saturday.
