Brittany Chambers posted game-high totals of 21 points and nine rebounds as the K-State women’s basketball team won their final exhibition game, 75-42 over Washburn at Bramlage Coliseum on Monday night.  Freshman Briana Craig had 17 points, and Ashia Woods added 12.  The Cats started each half on a roll, opening with the first 11 points of the game, and posting a 19-2 run to begin the second half.

Washburn was led in scoring by former St. Marys standout Laura Kinderknecht with 12 points.  Former Rock Creek star Dana Elliott led the Lady Blues in rebounding with nine boards, and scored 2 points.

The K-State women will open the regular season on Friday night at 5:30pm against Idaho State at Bramlage Coliseum.  Pregame from the K-State Sports Network begins at 5:00 on SportsRadio 1350 KMAN.  The game will be followed by the Wildcat men’s debut against North Dakota at 8:00.
