The 2012 season for the Manhattan High School Football team came to an end Friday night at Bishop Stadium with a 38-6 loss to Dodge City in the first round of the Class 6A State Playoffs.

After battling to a scoreless tie through the first quarter, the Red Demons scored 21 points in just a little over seven minutes during the second quarter thanks to three turnovers by Manhattan.  Running Back Parker Davis scored two touchdowns for Dodge City on his way to 201 yards rushing on the night.   The Tribe avoided a shutout when Quarterback Jacob Holloway threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Wide Receiver Devin Cossman late in the fourth quarter.

MHS, which won its District Championship last week despite a loss to arch-rival Junction City finishes the season with a 6-4 record.  Dodge City (5-5) will return home next week to host Derby in the Class 6A Quarterfinals.
