Earlier this morning, KMAN received information that westbound I-70 was shut down near mile marker 318 as a result of a vehicle hitting a deer and becoming engulfed in flames. Riley County Police report that the occupants of the vehicle each exited the car safely and there are no major injuries. Police were diverting traffic to K99. KMAN will have more information on the story when it becomes available.
