Nino Williams scored 16 points and led four players in double figures as K-State sprinted away from South Dakota for a 70-50 victory on Monday afternoon at Bramlage Coliseum.  The Cats led 30-18 at halftime, but the Coyotes pulled with 44-39 of K-State with 9:15 left.  South Dakota guard Karim Rowson committed an intentional foul on Williams, which seemed to spark a 12-0 K-State run.  Williams hit both free throws, and Shane Southwell scored seven straight points in one stretch.  Rodney McGruder scored 15 points and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds, while Southwell wound up with 12 points and Will Spradling added 11.  K-State (11-2) dominated South Dakota on the glass, outrebounding the Coyotes 39-24.  South Dakota (6-9) was led in scoring by Rawson with 14 points.  Former Wildcat guard Juevol Myles also dropped in 13 points for the Coyotes.

#25 K-State will now open Big 12 play on Saturday afternoon against #22 Oklahoma State at 12:30pm at Bramlage Coliseum.  Powercat Gameday will start at 10:30am from Kite’s Grille & Bar in Aggieville on SportsRadio 1350 KMAN and 101.5 K-Rock.
