AUSTIN, Texas (AP)   Texas coach Rick Barnes would not directly comment Wednesday night on a report that guard Myck Kabongo will be suspended by the NCAA for the rest of the season.

Yahoo! Sports reported during the Longhorns’ 85-67 victory over No. 23 North Carolina that Kabongo will be dealt a season-long ban following an investigation into the sophomore’s relationship with Rich Paul, the agent of LeBron James of the Miami Heat.

According to the Yahoo! report, Kabongo provided inaccurate information to NCAA investigators when interviewed. Yahoo! did not disclose its sources.

Barnes said following the win that “every student is entitled to a process” and that the process was ongoing. He would not take anymore questions on Kabongo.

Kabongo started 34 games last season but hasn’t played so far in 2012-2013.
