TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) Topeka police say a man is in custody for questioning in the stabbing death of a woman.
The woman was found dead Wednesday night at an apartment complex. The victim was in her 40s but her name has not been released.
Lt. Ron Gish says a 23-year-old man is in custody. KAKE-TV reports Gish said the suspect told his mother he had stabbed a woman in an apartment.
The woman’s death is the city’s 16th homicide this year.
