    #18 K-State Maintains Grip on Texas

    Thomas Gipson had 17 points and seven rebounds as #18 K-State broke a two-game losing streak with an 83-57 rout of Texas.  The Cats won their third straight game over Texas at Bramlage Coliseum as Omari Lawrence had a career-high 12 points and Angel Rodriguez added 11.  Rodriguez added eight assists, his fourth game in the Big 12 with at least eight assists.  K-State built a 38-19 halftime lead, and never looked back in the second half as their lead was as many as 28 points.  Texas (9-11, 1-6) was topped by Sheldon McClellan with 15 points and Jaylen Boyd had 12.

    Up next for K-State (16-4, 5-2) is a road trip to Oklahoma this Saturday afternoon at 5:00pm. SportsRadio 1350 KMAN and 101.5 K-Rock will have pregame coverage at 4:00 from the K-State Sports Network.
