    Pottawatomie County Election Filings

    While still an unofficial list from Pottawatomie County Clerk Nancy McCarter, indications are there will be no need for a primary.  St. George’s City Council had the most interest for candidates, with eight candidates filing for three positions.

    Wamego had two people file for the two available city commission positions, Westmoreland had four council candidates for two positions, and one for mayor.

    Onaga had three file for city council and two for Mayor, with Olsburg having two file for council and one for Mayor. Louisville had five trying for five positions and one for Mayor, with Belvue having three trying for council positions. St. Mary’s had three commission candidates and Wheaton has four council  and one Mayor candidate.

    Three people filed for Emmett City Council, with two filing for Mayor. Havensville had three file for Council but no one filing for Mayor.

    Wamego’s USD 320 school board has two people trying for each of the three open positions. For Rock Creek USD 323’s three positions, two candidates are trying for positions five and six and one for position four.
