One opening will still remain on the K-State staff, but head coach Bill Snyder announced Friday night that he has promoted graduate assistant Blake Seiler.  After Joe Bob Clements left the program for Oklahoma State on Sunday, Seiler will be a full-time assistant coaching Wildcat defensive ends.  Seiler has been the defensive grad assistant for the last two years, and has been responsible for breaking down film and running the scout team.

The Goddard native was a three-year letterman for K-State from 2004 to 2006.  He transferred from Oklahoma State, where he was a member of the Cowboy wrestling team.

Arkansas announced on Thursday night the hire of Michael Smith as wide receivers coach after 15 years on the K-State staff.  Smith will work for Bret Bielema, who was co-defensive coordinator for the Cats from 2002-2003.  Bielema most recently was the coach at Wisconsin for seven seasons, where he led the Badgers to three straight Rose Bowls.
